ABOUT OUR PARISH
Birhen san Kalooy Parish, also known as BSKP, is a newly erected parish under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Masbate. It was canonically established on October 2, 2024.
The parish is located in the northern part of the Province of Masbate, within the Municipality of Mandaon, and serves a diverse and geographically expansive community.
BSKP was established to pastorally serve the far coastal area of Barangay Bugtong; the upland and mountainous areas of Barangays Sta. Fe, Mabato-bato, and Bat-ongan; as well as the Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology.
The parish is presently shepherded by Rev. Fr. Tristan T. Briones, who provides pastoral leadership and guidance to the faithful through the administration of the sacraments, community formation, evangelization, and parish pastoral care.

Birhen san Kalooy Parish is supported by the Parish Pastoral Council, mandated organizations, religious groups, ministries, lay communities, and volunteers who help carry out the pastoral mission of the Church.
Through their service, prayer, participation, and commitment, these groups help strengthen parish life, support liturgical celebrations, promote formation, and encourage active involvement among the faithful.
The parish ministries and organizations include the Catholic Women’s League, Mother Butler Guild, Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Communion, Youth Ministry, Parish Renewal Experience, Couples for Christ, Neocatechumenal Way, El Shaddai, Choir, and Lectors and Commentators.
