PARISH MINISTRIES AND ORGANIZATIONS
Birhen san Kalooy Parish is blessed with parish leaders, mandated organizations, religious groups, ministries, lay communities, and volunteers who help carry out the pastoral mission of the Church.
Through prayer, service, formation, liturgical participation, community involvement, and active collaboration, these groups help strengthen parish life and support the mission of evangelization in Brgy. Cabitan, chapel communities, mission areas, and the wider parish community.
Parishioners are encouraged to take part in parish ministries and organizations according to their gifts, availability, vocation, and willingness to serve.
The Parish Pastoral Council assists the Parish Priest in promoting the pastoral life and mission of the parish.
It helps in planning, coordination, consultation, and support for parish programs, activities, formation, celebrations, pastoral priorities, and community concerns.
Together with the Parish Priest, the Parish Pastoral Council works to build a more active, prayerful, service-oriented, and mission-driven parish community.
The Barangay Pastoral Council helps coordinate parish activities, pastoral concerns, and community participation at the barangay or chapel level. It supports the parish in strengthening communication, formation, prayer life, liturgical participation, service, and evangelization among the faithful.

Liturgical ministries assist in the reverent, orderly, and prayerful celebration of the Holy Mass and other liturgical activities of the parish.
The Catechist / Education Ministry supports the parish in faith formation, catechesis, and religious education. It helps prepare children, youth, families, and parishioners for the sacraments and encourages a deeper understanding and living of the Catholic faith.
The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and, when authorized, in bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound faithful.
The Lectors and Commentators help proclaim the Word of God and guide the faithful during liturgical celebrations through clear, reverent, and prepared service.
The Choir leads and supports the congregation in prayer through sacred music, helping create a solemn and prayerful atmosphere during Masses and parish celebrations.
These ministries assist the parish in important areas of pastoral formation, family life, vocations promotion, stewardship, and responsible management of parish resources. Through their service, they help strengthen the parish’s mission of evangelization, community building, and faithful administration.
Promotes prayer, awareness, and support for vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, and Christian service.
Supports couples, families, and individuals through marriage preparation, family formation, Kasalang Parokya activities, and life-centered pastoral programs.
Assists the parish in responsible stewardship of resources, properties, projects, facilities, finances, construction, and other material needs of the parish.
The Youth Ministry encourages young people to grow in faith, friendship, leadership, service, and active participation in the life of the Church.
Through formation, worship, fellowship, outreach, and parish activities, the Youth Ministry helps young people discover their role in the mission of the Church and in the life of the parish community.
Young people are encouraged to participate in parish formation, liturgical service, leadership activities, fellowship, and community outreach.
The parish is supported by mandated and religious organizations that help strengthen parish life through service, formation, prayer, and community participation.
The Catholic Women’s League promotes active participation of Catholic women in parish life, faith formation, service, and community involvement.

Couples for Christ promotes Christian family life, evangelization, and community support among couples, families, and individuals.
The Neocatechumenal Way supports faith formation, community life, and deeper Christian living through a journey of catechesis, prayer, and reflection on the Word of God.
El Shaddai helps promote prayer, praise, worship, and devotion among the faithful, encouraging trust in God’s providence, healing, and mercy.
