The “Hutik” Devotion is a simple yet meaningful Marian devotion of Birhen san Kalooy Parish.
“Hutik,” which means “whisper,” invites the faithful to approach the Blessed Virgin Mary with childlike trust, quiet honesty, and humble prayer. Like a child whispering to a loving mother, the faithful are invited to entrust their fears, hopes, gratitude, intentions, and needs to Mama Mary.
Through this devotion, the parish encourages the faithful to draw closer to Jesus through Mary, who lovingly intercedes for her children and leads them to her Son.
The “Hutik” Devotion is inspired by the Gospel account of the Wedding at Cana, where Mary noticed the need of the people and brought it to Jesus.
At Cana, Mary quietly interceded and told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” This reminds us that Mary listens, notices, intercedes, and always leads us to Christ.
In the same spirit, “Hutik” invites the faithful to bring their prayers to Mary with trust, knowing that a mother’s heart listens with compassion and points everything to Jesus.
The “Hutik” Devotion does not require long speeches or perfect words. It begins with a sincere heart.
The faithful may whisper to Mary their personal intentions, family concerns, thanksgiving, struggles, hopes, and prayers for healing, guidance, protection, peace, and strength.
Through this devotion, we are reminded that God welcomes the humble prayer of the heart, and Mary, our Mother, accompanies us in our journey of faith.
Every “hutik” is a quiet act of faith — a whisper of prayer, gratitude, hope, healing, or surrender entrusted to Mama Mary.
This section features selected moments and stories of parishioners, families, devotees, and friends who come before Birhen san Kalooy to whisper their intentions with childlike trust and prayerful hearts.
May these stories remind us that no prayer is too simple, no burden is too heavy, and no whisper is unheard by a loving Mother who leads us closer to Jesus.
